yeah that is what mine looks and its 800w speakers are 10'' sony xplod subs the cd player is a vr3.... i was out screwing around with it.... looked in side and nothing looked out of place inside.... the i was messing around with the remote wire and got the over current lite to turn off for a second the it was back on... so im guess that it might have something to do with the remote.... Yeah, that's probably the subs he has, mroriginal, if not, he had the old, red style, but they're still single 4 ohm coils, I believe I'm seriously not finding any information about that amp? the only site I found that says anything about that model is the one I sent you. you don't happen to have an instruction manual for it, do you? If you don't, we'll just assume is a 4 ohm stable amp, it could be 2 ohm stable, but I wouldn't risk it You think it could have to do with the remote wire, did you check the connection to the back of the cd player? also re-check the connection on the amp. I don't think that will be it, if the remote wire isn't sending power to the amp correctly, the amp simply won't come on. At least it shouldn't.... How many of the 10" subs are you wiring? Also, if you get the chance/money, Ditch the VR3 and buy an Alpine or Pioneer (Will's 2 cents)

next question. how are they wired? you're using a 4 channel amp, do you have one sub hooked up to each of the rear channels? or did you bridge the rear channels and just wire both subs to one bridged channel (I don't know if your amp can do this, but it's pretty common with 4 channel amps, so don't try it unless it shows you a "bridged" diagram on the amp)
