So I'm planning on starting a project on my Scion xB. I want to put neons on the ceiling but obviously this poses a problem with wiring, or atleast to me it does. I don't want wires hanging everywhere so any ideas as to how to hide the wires? And does anyone have a link to installing neons, there used to be a really good one on the old forums but I can't find it anymore.

You can tuck the wires up in the headliner and just run them down the A-pillars...

first things first man, make sure your neon position won't blind you hah. then mount your neon, then you'll have to cut of the cig lighter and use some extra speaker wire to extend your wires and just do what boulder said, tuck the wires into the ceiling and then down your pillar to your power source

I will look for what i had done in my old malibu. If i find pics then i will post if not then just do what they said. Its not that hard. Also Cold Cathodes can be taken out of their tube with some work which make them even smaller and it is just the bare element. They are VERY fragile once removed from the tube. If you want some info on that let me know and i will post it up.

You could get creative and cut a slit in your headliner, put the cathode in there, then cover it with plexi. not hacked, you could actually do a good job with it if you took your time. *side note* I'm the only one in this computer lab at school and someone's snoring in the next room and I can hear it from here. annoying as hell

Okay so I looked in a friends car and he has the same thing which led me to believe what I call an a-frame might be different than what is actually an a frame. An a frame is where the the front window meets the windshield that divider.

The vertical plastic left of the screen is what were refering too, So just run your wires through your roofing (plastic, carpet) whatever, make it lead to that post and have to run down to your power source thus just showing a bright neon bar

Okay yea thats what I thought, but by run down you mean run down not behind, thats what I thought you meant. And I found some instructions on how to wire and basically I was going to try to run it to the battery which I was told was the best way instead of the cigarette lighter, is that what you recommend? Thanks!
