Ummkay, on accident today I had left my lights on while I was at school, so needless to say after my 9 hour day it was str8 dead.
So I got a jumpstart and she started up
I just did the jumpstart normally, Took this kids cables, Positive to Positive and NEG to NEG. I started the car with the cables still attached as I was taught to do. But somebody pointed out today that it could of caused my current problem
My current problem is I don't believe my battery is retained a clean 14.6 volts as i usually does when running
its directly on the 14 marker
do yall think that I did the jumpstart wrong, and if so, is it my battery that is prob messed up or the alternator

Well you aren't supposed to jump directly from battery to battery... That can cause a weakening in the battery.
On my Av I actually have Pos and Neg locations for jumping vehicles (either to get mine jumped, our to jump someone else...) With the complex electrical/computer system in vehicle now a days, everything is very sensitive... You might have messed up the voltage regulator that the alternator has...
I would take it to a place and have them throw and code reader on it and see if anything is coming up...

nothing will come up on a code reader. there is nothing wrong with your car charging at 14 volts. you may have weakened your battery by letting it die, so if anything, run it to autozone and have them load test the battery for you. i have jumped more cars than i can count directly to the battery. no matter where you hook the cables up at, it all goes back to the battery, so it really makes very little difference. if possible i would always recommend a boost box instead of a jump start, but when your car is sitting there dead, you gotta take what you can get. just always be absolutely sure you go pos to pos and neg to neg. if it is me and someone else doing it, i always make the statement "black to negative" just so we are both on the same page about how we are hooking them up, and i will usually watch them do it so i know it isn't being done wrong

yeh, don't want to arch your battery
but yeh problemo fixed, i just let her sit at an idle for about 45 minutes, the battery just needed a time to completely recharge itself

neg cable goes to engine block on dead car not battery.
you can actually win the game if you witness dumbass girls in highschool attach the cable to a pulley and then get in and crank the engine.
