How hot can neon bars get without breaking/melting/malfunctioning etc.
Im planning to put some bars in my engine compartment although need to know the limits to this ESP heat because my engines normal running temp is about 170 roughly, also what kind of wiring would you use? Would LED bars be better? If theres a special way can somebody who HAS experience post a reply
Thanks in advance

I'm not too sure what the max they can handle is but I've seen plenty of people have them on their hood towards the firewall. But I would also like to know for sure.

You could try and use the waterproof method and seal them inside plastic tubing. That'd probably help guard the heat too. But as many as I have seen, and it be neon, I'd think you could try it.

ty morbid your always there for me haha
but just thinking now obviously air would cool them down so would putting these near the front bumper behind the air slots work perfectly, or would that interfere with the radiator too much?

Oh no that'd be fine. A ton of people a lot of times put them in their front grilles. Your engine/radiator there isn't hot enough to overcome the airflow they get. If you use interior tubes make sure you waterproof them, or depending on the ub kit you have you can just add another 30" or 10" tube.
