such as i had to take 2 old speaker wires, extend them, and use both to put into the sub
although can i install my own set of wires and if so how or where can i find *Links* ty

You just need speaker wire. You can get it at Walmart, Lowes, etc.
And why not just get a mono amp for it?

I think you're gonna have to explain to us what you're wanting a little better before we can answer your question.
Are you saying that you want to use your stock speaker wires to power multiple speakers? like you want to hook the rear speakers, then continue the wire on so you can power the sub too?
Dood, buy a line-out converter and amp.
Subwoofers aren't designed to play the same frequencies that your speakers are, and you could do a lot of damage to them. On top of that, you are only getting like 10 watts of power from a stock deck.

Yeah, basically a waste of time and effort because they won't sound good at all. You'd be better off getting a set of components. You'd get more bass out of a set of comps off a stock deck than an unamped sub ha.
Anyway though like Will said.
It seems as if you are wanting to just wire more speakers to your stereo? If that's the case you can't really do that. Your stereo has pre-outs for your front left, right, back left and right speakers. To power more you would simply need an amp for them, and hook them up like a subwoofer basically.

I have that long suburban still and that would be a great question to have answered ty

It all depends where you run it and everything. I've never worked on an SUV for wiring so I'm not sure but I know for say a Pontiac GT we got like an 18 or 20 foot cable for the power wire to the trunk and I had a bit of extra. So in a Suburban I'd say you'd need idk.. 25? Not too sure lol.

the longest wiring kit you're going to find is 20 feet, that will probably do what you need it to, but especially in a bigger vehicle, steer clear of the 17 foot kits.
Your best bet would be to buy each part of the kit separately, but it'll cost you a lot more.

You don't HAVE to buy a kit though. You can just go somewhere like Lowes. We have the wire you'd need, and we can cut it to any length.

Weigh your costs, I dunno how much the wire will cost you, but keep your RCA's in mind too. Don't buy the cheap unshielded ones, a good set of RCA's are worth the money

RCA's are the Red and White cords that will carry the actual music signals to your amp. It's what you use to hook any gaming console to a tv. But as Will said, make sure you buy good thick shielded RCA's. You don't want to use house cords because the shielding isn't quite good normally for car audio applications.
