Going into hard wiring my entire system and undoing the old cigarette lighter thing i had going on. although, after spending 5 hours, no lie, getting all the supplies and planning it all the unthinkable happens i go to turn on my MI and it shorts sparks flew and smoke like it just came outta jesse james's gun just spit havoc gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i had a neg wire going positive and the fuse wasn't separating where the cross happened So now im left with a fried control panel and a 5 hour lesson about electricity  |

I hate it when the magic blue smoke comes out of electronics... No matter how hard you try, you can't get it back in...

where was your main in line fuse at the battery or whatever power source you were using for all of this?

fuse was a clean 18 inches or less from the battery, i had to extend wires because of placement reasons and when i went to plug into the MI, thats when they got switched.

Not Fun glad to hear you did properly fuse it. sucks when shiz like that happens. at least it sounds like you took care of it before you melted a ton of wiring, sucks that you roached a music interface though |

hah i know right man, although one port in the MI still works. So i can still power a clean 4 lights through her
although the sound meter light up and its the only control box i really have so im looking forward to getting a different one
