Ok so i was going to Community College of Philadelphia to eventually become an x-ray technician. When i would go to register for classes i would ask the counselor how i actually get into the program and i asked on THREE seperate occasions and all three times i was told i don't have to worry about it i still have awhile to go. Needless to say i was going no where fast since there was nobody there to help me. I was put on acedemic probation because i got 2 D's the whole time i was in school and then the previous semester i failed my Anatomy and Physiology class. It was just too much for me. I am now in the process of being forced to sit out one full semester for doing so.
I thought about it and then realized why don't i go look around at other schools while i am not in school. I came across Lincoln Technical Institute and in 15 months i can have an associates degree. Now here is the bes tpart the whole program is called Automotive Service Management so yes this means i will actually get to do something i enjoy and a little over a year have a degree. I was never really good in school but i soon found out i don't even have to take primary education classes so i think i have finally found the place for me. For those who have done this type of thing what can i expect? Before i am done with the 15 month program i intend to become AES certified.
Here are the classes as follows. Each is 4 weeks long and only 1 class a day and the same class for 4 weeks.
Intro To automotive Technology
Service Shop Procedures
Service Shop Management
communication and Selling
Computerized Automotive Service Management
Personnel management and Supervision
Electrical Systems
Advanced Automotive Electronics
Automotive Brake Systems
Automotive Steering and Suspension System
Transmission and Drive Line
Automatic Transmissions
Air Conditioning and Electrical Accessories
Gasoline Engines Construction and Operation
Fuel Systems
Drivability Diagnostics
That is all of the classes i have to take over the full 15months. What are your thoughts? You may call me an idiot or praise me either or it doesnt matter im asking what people think so no big deal.
Thanks!
